2025 is our year, Brothers and Sisters of the Templi Hierosolymitan (which is, as you know well, Latin for “Temple of Jerusalem”).
How do I know that 2025 is the Year of the Templar? It is an easy deduction which I will share herewith:
2025 is the Year of the Templar because we, the Brothers and Sisters of the Priory of The Temple Church, are united together for one reason and for a singular purpose. It is the same one reason and singular purpose for which our Templar forefathers pledged their being:
To advance the Kingdom of God on this Earth – which is the only reason why the Templars have ever existed.
In other words, we are bound together by our common Oath to God to make 2025 the Year of the Templar.
With 2025 as the Year of the Templar, each of us who are united by our Oath to advance the Kingdom of God on this Earth is obligated to act together with our fellow Templars to make this happen. It has been this way for the past 907 years. It is the result of teamwork – of acting together toward the achievement of that one reason and singular purpose for which we were created.
We all committed to this life when we undertook the solemn Vigil of contemplation and prayer before we accepted the mission of a Templar and our vow was sealed by the touch of the Sword of the Accolade.
2025 is the Year of the Templar because the Knights and Dames of the Priory of The Temple Church will actively follow the example of Caleb from the Holy Scripture where God says of him, “My servant Caleb, because he has a different spirit and has followed Me fully, I will bring him into the land and … he will take possession of it.” (Numbers 14:24)
For, as God declares of Himself, “…indeed, as I live, all the Earth will be filled with the Glory of the Lord.” (Numbers 14:21)
2025 is the Year of the Templar because 2025 was created by God for His own glory – just as each of us was likewise created to not only give Him glory but to bring Him glory. Thus, we commit in the first hours of 2025, the Year of the Templar, to take our stand and pledge a solemn vow to actively and faithfully participate in this epic honor!
2025 is the Year of the Templar because we shall begin together on this first day of 2025 to pray as one that our Almighty God and Everlasting Righteous Father will unite each of us enthusiastically in devotion to the one reason and singular purpose for our being – to advance the Kingdom of God on this Earth!
Therefore,
“…all the Earth will be filled with the Glory of the Lord.”
Non nobis domine, non nobis, sed nomini tuo da gloriam.
Not unto us, O Lord, not unto us, but unto Thy Name give glory.
