Claudia and I wish to extend to you and your family our most heartfelt Christmas greetings with all our love. On this Holy Day of Christ-mass, we pray that you will find the peace that only our Savior can give – who came to us as an innocent babe, wrapped in strips of cloth and laid in a manger. But our Jesus also left this world in the same fashion – innocent, humble and with all our sins laid upon his pierced and broken form. He said “it is finished” at the end, departing this world with our transgressions in His mighty grip, making of Himself a servant to each of us, washing our feet and our souls, just so that we might be born again and dwell with him forever. His very life was the perfect illustration of sacrificial love and holy grace for us who do not deserve it – and for us who have no chance at all without it.

Tears are falling, hearts are breaking
How we need to hear from God
You’ve been promised, we’ve been waiting
Welcome Holy Child, welcome Holy Child
Hope that You don’t mind our manger
How I wish we would have known
But long-awaited, Holy Stranger
Make Yourself at home, please, make Yourself at home
Bring Your peace into our violence
Bid our hungry souls be filled
Word now breaking heaven’s silence
Welcome to our world, welcome to our world
Fragile fingers sent to heal us
Tender brow prepared for thorn
Tiny heart whose blood will save us
Unto us is born, unto us is born
So wrap our injured flesh around You
Breathe our air and walk our sod
Rob our sin and make us holy
Perfect Son of God, perfect Son of God
Welcome to our world
Welcome to our world
