Doing Kingdom Business Without Toxic Brain Death

In three days, the Priory of the Temple Church will be convening our Business Meeting the link that has been provided in your email.

7:00 PM Sunday 27 April

Business Meetings of any kind have received what perhaps may be a well-deserved bad reputation in any organization. But as I have discovered as the moderator for decades in both church and NASA business meetings – a lion’s share of the bad rep is due to the single-point failure of the moderator. It is their job to clearly understand the meeting’s landscape and professionally handle the inevitable case of crossed wires, adversarial language, long-winded rabbit chasing and off-topic time wasters. These things do not happen in meetings of which I have any supervision. My meetings are crisp, to the point and done before civil war or toxic brain death sets in.

Thanks to COVID our culture is now heavily invested in virtual meetings of all kinds. The good news is frankly overwhelming compared to the old way of doing business. To that point, I am happy to announce that our last Business Meeting had more participants than any of the previous ones we held in person. Why? Because more people are able to attend and there are no indirect costs to participate.

So please prayerfully consider attending this Sunday evening.

See you then!

I have attached a letter from our International Organization, the OSMTH concerning the passing of Pope Francis. As a Christian, I was always impressed at his single-minded devotion to the poor and the oppressed across the world.
